Site Plan Service
Our company drafts unique Site Plans for clients. We like to think of this as the undervalued “missing link” between a home design and the placement of the home upon your lot or acreage.
Usually a site plan includes all of the usual elements associated with our standard septic designs such as: placement of the house, well location, driveways, tree plantings and landscaping, gardens, etc. It could also include contour lines, water garden features, sun exposure measurements, utility locations, location of existing trees, cliff features, and orientation to a view corridor.
Generally the client will have several ideas to optimize. When we have a large lot or acreage with multiple design scenarios, we usually hand-draft the Site Plan and then offer multiple copies of tracing paper in order for the client to have a hands-on experience in their own design. With the tracing paper, it is easy to change the location of buildings, landscape plantings, and other constructable features. This is done early in the planning stage.
Our Site Plan Service is offered in order to connect the house to the land and produce a more fulfilling living space for the client. Proper arrangement of the Site Plan is on par with the importance of the house design itself.
